Hospitality and Resort Management | Hospitality Basics Certificate
This program introduces the student to the Hospitality industry. Students learn basic skill sets in customer service, computer applications, event planning, and food safety and sanitation. Students have the opportunity to earn several industry credentials while earning the Hospitality Basics Certificate.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the Hospitality Basics certificate program, students should be able to:
- Display the steps for planning and managing various events
- Describe how multiple departments coordinate and interact for optimal results within a property
- Evaluate a marketing plan based upon common marketing models and research methods
- Use office application software as it pertains to the Hospitality Industry
- Manage customer expectations by building rapport with effective communication techniques
