HIS 244 - History of Latin America HI1 3 Credit Hour(s) • 45 Contact Hours (Lecture) Prerequisite: CCR 092 Focuses on the major political, economic, social, and cultural influences that have shaped Latin America from pre-European conquest to the present. Emphasizes the early history of Latin America but connects it to the present. This course focuses on developing, practicing, and strengthening skills historians use while constructing knowledge and studying a diverse set of narratives through perspectives such as gender, class, religion, and ethnicity.
