HIS 243 - History of Modern China HI1 3 Credit Hour(s) • 45 Contact Hours (Lecture) Prerequisite: CCR 092 Explores the political, ideological, economic, religious, social, and cultural developments of modern China from the Qing dynasty through the political and economic revolutions of the 20th century. This course focuses on developing, practicing, and strengthening skills historians use while constructing knowledge and studying a diverse set of narratives through perspectives such as gender, class, religion, and ethnicity.
