NRE 1002 Introduction to Natural Resources Management 3 Credits
Covers an overview of our natural resources, the environmental concerns related to their management, and the agencies in charge of management of natural resources.
NRE 1100 Foundations of Forestry 3 Credits
Presents the principles of forest science, dendrology, forest fire behavior, and silviculture principles.
NRE 2012 Ecosystem Management 3 Credits
Focuses on the larger landscape in order to integrate the human, biological, and physical dimensions of natural resource management. Collaborative management techniques are discussed.
Prerequisite(s): ENV 1111 with a minimum grade of C or ENV 101 with a minimum grade of C
NRE 2014 Environmental Issues and Ethics 3 Credits
Focuses on special environmental problems, current issues, or trends. Traditional and environmental philosophies are discussed. Students debate various environmental issues.
NRE 2025 Environmental Education 3 Credits
Introduces students to the history, legislation, principles, and goals of environmental literacy and education. Students will apply this understanding by creating, presenting and evaluating an environmental lesson and environmental education project.
NRE 2036 Public Relations of Natural Resources 2 Credits
Provides students with appropriate skills in dealing effectively with customers and co-workers at all levels, including difficult situations. It develops the skills necessary for working directly or indirectly with the media and gives a broad understanding of the importance of customer service and public relations.
NRE 2078 Seminar/Workshop 0-12 Credits

NRE 2080 Internship 0-12 Credits

NRE 2204 Range Management and Restoration 4 Credits
Covers management of rangelands, important plants, rangeland communities, and restoration practices to restore disturbed ecosystems. Field measurement techniques of ecosystem components will be emphasized.

NRE 2205 Wildlife and Fisheries Management Principles 3 Credits
Covers theory, philosophy, and applications for study and management of wildlife and fisheries resources. Field and laboratory methods used in wildlife management is also covered.
