HOS 1005  Introduction to Management in the Hospitality Industry  3 Credits  
Describes the history, development, and operation of the hospitality industry including careers in the industry, management practices, accounting procedures, destinations and lodging.
HOS 1031  Planning for Special Events  3 Credits  
Offers fundamental knowledge in planning and executing events or meetings. The material covers budgeting, entertainment, catering, and accommodating participants' lodging needs. ​
HOS 1048  Introduction to Food and Beverage  3 Credits  
Focuses on food and beverage management. This course includes menu planning, purchasing, storage, and facility layout.​
HOS 2021  Basic Hotel and Restaurant Accounting  3 Credits  
Covers hotel and restaurant accounting procedures including computerized accounting and hospitality situations. This course also covers managing financial operations of hotels and restaurants.
HOS 2026  Supervision in the Hospitality Industry  3 Credits  
Covers effective supervision and management in the hospitality industry, talent recruitment, productivity enhancement, cost control, communication, conflict resolution, and change management. The course also includes career development.​​
HOS 2031  Resort Facilities Management and Design  3 Credits  
Covers resort facility systems to improve efficiency and integrate eco-friendly practices into hospitality operations. The course also covers interior and exterior facilities including guestrooms, public spaces, and building structure. ​
HOS 2051  Hotel Operations  3 Credits  
Covers hotel operations, organizational structure, human resources management, and production controls.
HOS 2080  Internship  0-12 Credits
